Biographical Sketch:

Annie Jo Baker was raised in rural Appalachia, one of the USA's sickest and most impoverished regions. They now live in America's Midwest, where they're completing an MA in English at Eastern Illinois University. They have a BA in biology with a minor in classical languages from the University of Kentucky, two years of classroom experience teaching high school chemistry, and four years of lab experience working in neurodegeneration research. Now, they're pursuing a career as a science communicator and getting their start by editing Research Girl's Rising Researchers Journal. In their spare time, they write science fiction under the name Anj Baker.​
