Hana Joo is a user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) designer with a passion for creating innovative and meaningful digital experiences that bring joy and satisfaction to users. With more than four years of experience spanning branding, web design, and digital strategy, she employs a user-centric approach to crafting impactful solutions.

Hana's academic journey began in South Korea, where she earned her BA in Philosophy and Korean Language and Literature; and BA in Visual Communication Design. Later, in New York, she pursued her MPS in Communication Design at Parsons School of Design.

Hana's unique perspective is inspired by Kant's philosophy of "disinterested interest," a concept that she sees as vital to empathetic and unbiased design thinking. She is excited to contribute to Research Girl, Inc., as the organizational mission aligns with her dedication to designing a more inclusive world. She believes in the power of accessible and engaging design to bridge gaps and empower students to pursue their passions in STEM.
