Biographical Sketch:

Kyra Frank embarked on her academic journey with a passion for interdisciplinary science, ultimately pursuing a BS degree in Quantitative Biosciences and Engineering at Colorado School of Mines. Her fascination with the complexities of chemical and biological systems ignited her deep interest in research, where she could leverage her skills to tackle challenging issues within these fields.

 

As a researcher, Kyra has engaged in a variety of projects, from exploring the phenomena of quantum biology to utilizing analytical chemistry for the development of innovative sensing platforms. These diverse experiences, along with her coursework, have cultivated her profound appreciation for chemistry. Looking ahead, she plans to begin a PhD in Chemistry (starting in 2025), with a focus on the development and study of small molecules that exhibit biological activity.

 

In addition to her research endeavors, Kyra has discovered a passion for teaching and outreach during her undergraduate studies, firmly believing that sharing knowledge is as vital as generating it.
