Biographical Sketch:
Leigha Furr is a Science Content Developer at Research Girl, Inc., part of the internal Science Content and Communications team. She supports initial editing and review processes of contributors' draft articles and other forms of content; collaborates on content development for web and social media; and significantly contributes to content research and development of informational and educational presentations.
Leigha is a recent graduate of Wingate University with a BS in Psychology and minor studies in Biology and Sociology. At Wingate, she gained experience conducting quantitative research within the areas of developmental and cognitive psychology, and encoding qualitative data on student engagement.
Outside of Research Girl, Inc., her professional work is focused in the field of mental health services (medical and therapeutic), where she is eager to support providers and patients. Looking ahead, she is striving to pursue continued education related to cognitive psychology or neuroscience, in order to explore thought patterns and decision-making across several contexts and intellectual considerations.
In her spare time, Leigha enjoys window-shopping, video-gaming, and arts or crafts.
