Biographical Sketch:
Renee Guerville primarily conducts research in sensory processing and mental health in children
with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) such as autism and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She is a fourth year undergraduate student at the University of Western Ontario (Western University), specializing in Neuroscience and majoring in Psychology.
Her research centers on these two fields, with curiosity on how a tangible organ creates intangible symptoms with a large impact on quality of life. She appreciates the applications of psychology with the biological foundations from neuroscience.
She began research late into her second year; however, has since been a part of three research labs,
and has participated in multiple conferences, poster presentations, and publications. She has gained experience in every aspect of studies, from data collection to manuscript writing, and has a goal of doing a masters and PhD in child clinical psychology in Canada.
Renee strives to be an advocate for children who may be unable to advocate for themselves, and positively impact the trajectory of their lives while promoting education and awareness of NDDs and mental health.
